Finally resolved this very annoying problem on my Mac’s trackpad.
Every time I do a click, it seems that the mouse moves as well (even though no movement is done in the trackpad).
So I asked tech support in iCenter, and he told me to try resetting my PRAM/NVRAM.
How to reset PRAM/NVRAM (from Apple Support Page)
- Shut down the computer.
- Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
- Turn on the computer.
- Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
- Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
- Release the keys.
Your computer’s PRAM and the NVRAM are reset to the default values. The clock settings may be reset to a default date on some models.
NOTE:
Also, take note of the things plugged into your Macbook (charger, wired LAN, headsets, usb flash drive) coz this might also caused by some interruptions from this connections. In my problem, I found out that when I remove the charger from my mac, everything work’s fine, then when I plug it again, the problem goes back. Seems that my charger is connected to an extension power that is also connected to another extension power. So what I did is I connected my extension wire directly to the power socket, and it works fine. I don’t know what’s the reason behind this interruption but I’m pretty sure it solved the problem.
